Talks & Visits

Here at Woodside we offer a speaker service whereby a representative from the animal centre will either come out and give a talk to your group or do a guided tour here. All of our speakers are very knowledgeable with regard to the work of the RSPCA and Woodside in particular.

The cost is £30 for an evening talk or £20 for a daytime talk or visit. This money goes towards helping the animals here at the centre as all of our speakers are volunteers or staff doing it in their own time. It is necessary for us to have at least 1 month’s notice before you require a speaker/visit.

Microchipping

Every year thousands of beloved pets are lost. At Woodside we believe that the best way to find a missing pet is to have it microchipped. A microchip is about the same size as a grain of rice and is painlessly inserted under your pet’s skin, usually at the back of the neck. Each microchip has its own unique code number which corresponds with the owner’s name and address.  When any animal is found and bought into Woodside the first thing the staff here do is to scan it for a microchip, if one is found the owner can be contacted and re-united with their lost pet as soon as possible.

All owners please note if you change any of your details you must let the microchipping company know so that they can alter it on their system.

Here at Woodside our experienced staff can microchip your pet for you for a cost of just £15, in addition to this at certain events we offer reduced cost microchipping for only £10. All you need to bring along with your pet is proof of ownership.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us.
