Sally, a five year old Lurcher, was severely underweight and withdrawn when she was brought by an Inspector to Woodside. Weak and emaciated she had to be held up as she did not have the strength to walk far.
She was given small regular meals and her progress was monitored at frequent veterinary appointments. Eventually her weight increased sufficiently for her to get up in her kennel to greet staff, and where she was previously carried outside to do her toilet she was able to walk.
Thanks to the care and patience of the Woodside staff Sally was able to maintain her dignity throughout her ordeal. Once she was fully recovered she was successfully rehomed to a new and loving family.
