Animal and Environment Friendly Lifestyles from A-Z
The Junior Members were asked to think of how we could make our lives more animal friendly or environmentally friendly, one for each letter of the alphabet! Do you do all of these?
Always recycle
Bird feeders in the garden
Check your gardens for sharp items which may hurt animals
Don’t ever drop litter
Eat only free-range eggs
Feed birds all year round to keep them healthy
Guinea-pigs should be brought indoors during fireworks
Help hedgehogs in your garden – leave a bit to be wild
Introduce your friends to Woodside!
Join the RSPCA Junior Animal Action Club if you are 7-17years
Keep animals safe during the firework season
Leave out nesting materials in the spring
Make habitats for animals and minibeasts in your garden
No to fur coats!
Organise a litter-pick in your local area
Prevent animal cruelty
Quiet fireworks are better for animals
Recycle everything you can
Snip up can-holders before you throw them away – they trap animals
Take your dog for regular exercise
Understand the needs of the pets you choose to have
Vaccinate your pets against diseases to keep them healthy
Water needs to be clean for all animals and for bird baths
‘Xtra care needs to be taken when caring for your pets in winter
You could tidy your bedroom for Woodside’s 4 charity shops!
Zzzz never disturb animals when they are sleeping!
