Woodside animal centre – the Leicester branch of the RSPCA – need volunteers to help support its shops in Bistall, Wigston and Melton Mowbray.

The shops play an important role in raising much-needed funds for the animal shelter, feeding and caring for all the animals is an enormous challenge and every penny raised counts.

The Volunteers are needed one day a week – plus occasional extra hours to cover the managers’ holidays – to open and lock up and perform general shop duties throughout the day.  They will also be responsible for supervising other volunteers.

Retail Manager, Caroline Knight, said: “It’s a great opportunity for someone to do something really worthwhile and at the same time gain valuable work experience.

“Woodside is a great charity to be involved with and we genuinely believe our volunteers get as much out of working with us they put in.”
