Sponsor a Cat Pod or Dog Kennel

Woodside Animal Centre is the home for the RSPCA in Leicestershire, Peterborough and Rutland. Every year we care for hundreds of animals that have been abused, neglected or abandoned.

We are an independently funded branch of the RSPCA which receives no government or lottery support and are reliant on the generosity of our supporters and the public in our region to fund our work.

We need your help to continue to look after and rehabilitate these animals until we can find them their forever home.

What does care cost?

Did you know it costs around £20,000 a week to run Woodside?
Your sponsorship will go towards the care and support of animals that come into our care, ensuring that they are seen by a vet, receive the medical attention they need and are kept safe and warm, well fed and exercised until we find them their loving forever home
A medium size dog eats around 220 grams of food each day
Typically a check-up trip to see a vet for a cat can cost a minimum of around £30 for any simple treatment.
On average it costs around £10 a month to provide flea & worm treatment for a dog.

We have 60 dog kennels and 44 cat pods so you can imagine the costs soon mount up, making the running of Woodside expensive

How you can help us

If you can spare £1 a week (£5 a month) you will help us to provide a safe enjoinment for abused, abandoned or mistreated animals by sponsoring one of our kennels or cat pods.

By supporting you won’t be just helping one animal, you will be supporting the lives of all those animals which pass through the cat pod or dog kennel each year you will be sponsoring.

What will my sponsorship go towards?

Your sponsorship will go towards the animal care, rehabilitation and medical treatment. While they are in our care, giving them a safe environment where they will be loved and cared for. Caring for their physical needs as well, giving them socialisation and exercise and stimulation they need.

We reply on donations and without your kind generosity we simply wouldn’t be able to provide the support the animals need.

Opening Hours

Centre Open for General Animal Viewing
We are open to the public to have a look around on Thursdays, Saturday and Sundays from 11:00 to 15:00
